Were going West

Its August and i now find myself in Colorado with all of the Palmer family and one Great-Aunt 3rd removed!  So the trip is a lot of fun.  We went fishing on a river nearby to where we stayed in Steamboat springs.  My dad lost 4 hooks and when i showed up i lost 2 in 15 minutes. Neadless to say fishing was great and the nature was mmmm great change of scenery from NYC. We then preceeded to go to another river to float on tubes.  I made it in last.
Now Aunt Carolyn was one of my favorite parts of the trip.  She knew all about Bethel church and talked with me about all the wonders of JC. it was FUN. One day she fell on the sidewalk and face-planted.  that was not a joke.  And this 80 yr old woman was straight chillin.  Ok now it gets fun......
JESUS CULTURE, VALPARAISO INDIANA

I want to start off by saying if you have never been to a JC conference you need to find a way to get to one.  We started the 1st night off with worship by Kim Walker and Chris Qualilallala.  The presence was THICK.  Then Lou Engle came on and set the tone for the next 3 days.  Man that man is intense.  He is passionate about intercession and contending for God to bring his will through prayer!  Ok day 2.  Jake Hamilton lead worship.  He was my favorite worship leader of the weekend.  The holy spirit was just flowing like no other.  The hunger in everyone around me, 12 year old kids just screaming out to god all the way up to adults and grandparents.  Wow that was something i will never forget.  Ok then so after worship this young girl comes up to me and she was like i feel like God wants me to ask you to pray for me. So im like ok what for.  and she says well i have had chronic pain in my knees when i stand for a period of time.  then Jesus does his thing.  Jesus says in Matthew that we are to do what he did, heal the sick, cleanse the leapors, raise the dead.  what if he was serious...im thinking he was.  So the girl then proceeds to tell me how the pain has gone away!  Come on!!!  This was something i really wanted to experience here.  I have never been personally used by Christ to heal someone but not anymore!  Its important to note that 1. Christ is the healer not any of us. 2. he wants to use us though! 3. He wants to use all of us!

Ok so the rest of the day i went to a workshop on prophecy and had more worship, prayer, and listened to my favorite speaker of the week...Paul something from Las Vegas international Church.  He brought it.  he had so many amazing stories and personal miracles hahaha it was awesome ( if you want to hear any of them just ask me!)

On the 3rd day we went out on a treasure hunt (i wrote a diff post on what this was) to a local grocery store.  A bunch of people on our list we found at store and we got to pray for a few different people.  But the best story happened when we got back.  We were talking outside of the main room and a lady was like hey do you think Jesus is still healing and were like well lets find out and then she asked us to prayer for her ankles where she said she has had pain for months.  So we proclaim healing in the name of christ in the ankle and.....she starts to move it around and gets excited because she couldn't do that before without it hurting but says its not completely better.  so we keep praying and then her ankles start to tense up and she kicks are hands off and starts screaming.  and when i say screaming i mean like as loud as she could yell, kicks off her shoes and starts running down the hall.  She was filled with joy. Praise JESUS!

Ok so then a group of us went into a hallway and started talking about all the cool things Jesus has been doing in their lives.  And then this really passionate revivalist girl (haha thats her title cuz i cant rem her name) was like hey lets pray.  So we all start prayer aloud and were pressin in hard.  And man a bunch of people start getting words and images and like oh i wish you guys could have been there.  We need to do this in bloomington!  it was one of my favorite moments of the weekend.  God is soo good and you are his righteousness!

CALI

....as soon as the conference was over i drove to Glen Ellyn to pick up Mr. Kevin Schmalandt.  We left his place at 1:30 am heading West.  I picked up 2 BK angry whoppers before we left.  I threw up in Iowa.  In York, Nebraska we picked up MaryBeth Omido from the trunk of her car.  The musketeers were together again.  <---that was a good line.  The trip was really fun.  We rotated turns sleeping the back of my car and had some fun pit stops along the way.  Below is a picture of kevin in Wyoming

he looks really excited!!!!

In Cali we went to Bethel church...and this is where im going to leave off.  The reasons for this are as follows: I need to buy books for school, i want to go on a bike ride.

Take a Second

What side of the cross are u focusing on?

Death or Resurrection?

To often i think our attention goes to Christs death. Don't get me wrong i understand the importance of christ's death and how he took on our sin, but what if we changed our mindset?

What if we stopped talking about christ how he died and we are now saved, to how he is alive and we are no longer just saved but righteous in his eyes!

What if we believe when he said we will do greater works than him?

What if we follow when he commands us to heal the sick, cleanse leopors and raise the dead?

What if we start believing in the life Jesus promised?

What if we start LIVING the life Jesus promised?

Where are we? PA?

Went on a camping trip this weekend.  Went as follows:
Drove.

Way to long. Way.
Set up tents in pouring rain.
Rain stops when we finish.
Ate some Sausages.

Jammed on the guitar for a while and hung out.
Slept, kinda.
White water rafting, kinda.
Cliff jumping!
Almost hit my butt on the way down.

Lets create a JESUS CULTURE

I signed up for Jesus Culture conference today. Its Aug 12-14. I cant wait to get rocked by the holy spirit. Going to Learn a lot. Then im going to take what i learned to btown this year. Cant wait for everyone else to get in on what Christ really has in store for us.

But i have a cool story from recently. It was on my first 'Treasure Hunt'. So a treasure hunt is basically trusting in Jesus/HS to point you to individuals he has highlighted to tell them of his love or give them prayer. So heres how it works. Everyone gets a piece of paper that has different lists. Appearance, location, random word, description, body part. You get a few minutes to right whatever comes to your head under each list. We trust that christ has control and he will lead us where he wants to. Then after we match up any words that showed up multiple times. These are the people we know God wants us to find. So before we went on this i had been praying and asked god to show me where he wanted me to go. I saw red and blue colors divided almost half and half in my mind. So i was like ok not sure what this means but ok. We met in the park at 5 and i got there a lil early and was not exactly sure where to sit and just found a seat by the chess tables. Under the table was a lot ticket. Blue and Red. Ok dan your in the right spot. I look up and there is a homeless man. He smiles at me. Hes holding a waterbottle, words on top in red, words on bottom in blue. I decide to go over and talk to him. He begins to tell me all about his life and how He wants to love god but needs to find a woman first. I told him He can do both but he was insistant. Well, Christ will encounter him soon, i know I prayed. After i talked to him i knew everyone else must be in the park b/c it was after 5. I looked back near where i was sitting and recognized someone from the church, he was wearing a red shirt and blue pants. We then filled out the sheets and split up into groups. Near the end of the time we were going out to pray for people i saw a smoke shop with a big blue and red sign. Smoke shop was one of the words that 3 of 6 people had so i decided to go in. Once inside there was a guy who had a watch and i walked up to him and ask what kind of watch it was, "Swatch". 2 others had watch and i had swatch. I asked him what he does and he said he works with kids who had cancer. Another matching word 2 people had, cancer. Then the lady we were with asked him if he was thinking about switching jobs. He told us yes, and we prayed with him and sent blessings over his life. When we left the shop i asked her how she knew he was thinking about changing jobs and she just said God put it on her heart. Yeah Jesus! Another guy we were with said he was feeling in his heart to ask the cashier about becoming a minisiter. HAHA, the guy we prayed for said his brother was a minister. Its not always easy on recognizing where were being lead! But through practice/trust/faith we can walk more powerfully in the life Jesus proclaimed for us.
