The Village People

I live in Greenwich Village.
A lot goes on in Greenwich Village.
Every Saturday right outside where i stay there is a park called union square. They have a big farmers market and local artists all around the park. I generally like to head down there early saturday and grab some free samples of cheese, bread, and juice.

About a week back i went to the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan. It was pretty sweet but nothing out of the ordinary, just a lot of good art. But the reason i tell u this is cuz this past friday they took a group of interns to the Met and lucky for me i was selected for the group. So now the explanation for the sarcasm...At work i sit under a vent, and its freezing, so i wear a full suit. Now i dont have to wear a full suit but i do cuz like i said its cold...So the group of interns hop on the subway (its about 90 and 100% humidity down in the in subway) and then walk about 10 blocks the rest of the way to the museum. So in my black suit in 90 degree weather and humidity up the you know what, i march my sweaty butt to the museum i just saw for a 1 hour tour of about 4 pictures. course: patience, status: failed

Lately ive been moving into new places w/Jesus. Ive been experiencing deaper levels of his love & Glory. The Holy Spirit has been louder than ever before and the meaning of Kingdom release has taken on a much more personal perspective. I feel the lord has tremendous plans for Bloomington this Summer and the next year. So if ur in btown get ready to dwell with christ and watch how All will bow before his beautiful name.

HELLO

Hello all,

So miss Sventstrup suggested to me that i should write a blog to chronicle my adventures here in New York. So here i am on a wed. morning at work writing my first blog. I want to start off by first stating i am not a good writer, nor do i have the patience/ attention span to write long well thoughtout posts. I imagine i will have some profound thoughts or insights at times throughout the summer but overall dont expect anything to likes of other notable bloggers: Kristen, Jenny?, or Andy. I digress...

Because im writing from work ill tell you a little about it. So far its been pretty slow. I haven't had much work to do but they tell me it will start to pick up. I hope. During my first week of actual work ( not training) i sat at my computer all day until friday after lunch. No not through the night, but all work day. I had nothing to do. And when i mean nothing i mean i can tell you all about whats going on in the middle east, what Cubs players are on the DL and how they are doing, and pretty much anything dealing with new federal legislation. Oh and im getting pretty nasty at Sidoku. The building i work at is amazing though. The entire building is powered by renewable energy which is AWESOME! Also, they have huge food areas with free food. Every drink/chip/cookie/fruit you could imagine. Its great. Also, the people here swear. A lot. No joke. I hear the F word atleast 20-50 times a day.

One thing that has been really sweet though is i brought in my bible and headphones to work. I was finding it frustrating that my time with God was being limited to after-work hours. So i brought them in and its been soo encouraging. I can listen to my worship music all day and read the bible. I do admit that im pretty discrete when i read. Not sure what the policy is and frankly i dont want to find out. So thats that.

Im not sure how often these will come. So charish it.
